The Marano Lagoon

Marano     The Marano Lagoon creates a vista of exceptional beauty and a rare ecosystem, of great natural and environmental significance due to the variety its wildlife, which even counts several rare species, its luxuriant fenland vegetation and the uniqueness of the temporary fisherman's refuges – the picturesque huts built from marsh cane that are a reminder of the ancient traditions of the lagoon and a testimony of a way of life whose origins are lost in the depths of time.
A number of partially navigable spring-fed rivers pour into the Marano Lagoon through a complex network of canals, extending as far as the plains of the Bassa Friulana, an area characterised by farmland that divides the landscape into geometric and, if truth be told, slightly monotonous patterns, a solemn simplicity and wide open spaces and horizons. Particularly rich of landscape and environmental suggestions it is the river Stella, on whose area a Regional Park is in progress of realization. The mouth has been submitted to naturalistic guardianship as Oasis for the shelter and repopulation for the avifauna aquatic, migratory and permanent and it is also gifted of Birdwatching postings.

Trieste

Trieste   Born to be the port for the Habsburg empire, Trieste presents theories of neoclassic palaces and successions of liberty style along the shores and the main streets of the Teresiano and Giuseppino village.
Grown up at the base of the old city developed around the majestic grey medieval castle, the imperial city best expresses itself in the nobly severe houses facades. Trieste wouldn’t be Trieste without the sea. The sea which laps right up to the historic centre, a mirror for elegant builldings. The coast continues till Barcola, goes through Costiera with its beaches and typical "Bath" and reaches Sistiana and Duino, where are located small bays proteced by cliffs. The sea is suitable for varius water sport: diving and seawatching courses in the Miramare Marina Natural Reserve. But Trieste is known mostly for its sailing tradition and the Barcolana, a highly popular international regatta, which is held every year in October.

Venice

Venezia       Venice, having been the meeting place of commerce between the East and West from the time of its origin, has admirably fused the culture, art and architecture of those people into its own splendor. Whether walking throught the narrow streets in Venice or travelling by "vaporetto" or in a "gondola", one can see the mesh of Bizantine, gothic and Renaissance styles on the buildings facades.
The antique Serenissima Republic no longer livers only of the past times, today it is also possible to visit splendid art exhibitions organized by the "Biennale", at Palazzo Grassi or in the breathtaking Palazzo Ducale, in San Marco Plaza.
Famous the Lido in Venice for its beach; Murano for the teachers glassworkers and Burano for the precious laces.
