Dear Guest of the Italian Yacht Harbours, we would like to inform you that our National Marina Association, together with all other boating branch organisations, is deeply engaged in the effort of protecting the interest of boaters aganist the new boating tax recently approved by law.

We already obtained positive midifications of the burden, like the exemption for boats under 10 meters lenght, the reduction according to the age of the boat, the exemption for boats moored in shipyards for repair.

Through the pressure we are making on the government we expect to obtain further modifications in the next decrees concerning growth and economic improvement, lke the tax reduction over 17 meters lenght and the exemption for foreign yachts.

We invite you therefore to delay your decisions concerning your navigation and mooring programs for the boating season 2012, in order to give us the time to archieve the necessary law amendments, before the new tax enters into force on 1st may 2012.
